The SPX technology is a new form of Pulse Position Modulation to generate micro pulses whose main characteristic is the extremely reduction of power consunption; the RF Peak Power is measured to be higher than 40 mW (+16 dBm) with a Peak Current of 40 mA. In reason of the low pulse Duty-Cycle, the mean current absorbed by the battery is lower than 200 microA: thus SPX uses small 12.5 mm Lithium cells to operate direct TPMS wheel unit or manufacture autonomous wireless sensors.
